The word ‘Hindu’ is associated with the follower of one of the most famous religion in the world Hinduism .The real meaning of the word Hindu is the people living on the river side of river Indus, From Indus River this world ‘Hindu’ originated. The religion or belief system followed by the Hindus or this group of people is famously known as Hinduism.

Actually these names Hinduism, Christianity or Buddhism etc are the names given by the people later on after these religions came into existence. These names are nowhere mentioned in the books or the scripture of these religions. But today I am here going to talk about Hinduism specifically. Now every religion has a first book or the most important scriptures which is the base or pillar stone of that religion, which tells us about the belief system on which that religion is based on or to be followed to be called the follower of that religion .In Hinduism there are many holly books or scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata etc .Different people have faith in different books and many followers have their own set of ideology or belief system which they follow but when you read or study about the Hinduism it shows that the first book or the most holy scripture of the religion is Vedas :Considered as the first and most holly book of the Hinduism. The Vedas is perhaps the oldest written text on our planet today. Many Hindu scholars says that Vedas are supposed to be passed through oral tradition for over 90,000 to 100,000 years and that they came in written form between 4000 to 5000 years ago. The Vedas can be divided into four groups Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda, many call it as the oldest religion in the world. Hence various scholar says that name of the religion should have been Vedantism rather than Hinduism.

Hinduism is a diverse system of thought with various beliefs and its concept of God is complex and depends upon each particular tradition and philosophy for example involving devotion to a single god while accepting the existence of others. Most Hindus believe that the spirit or soul — the true “self” of every person, also known as atman in Sanskrit is eternal. Karma translates literally as action, work, or deed and can be described as the “moral law of cause and effect” is the most important belief system in Hinduism. The notion of reincarnation and karma is a strong premise in Hindu thought. The Bhagavad Gita states that: “As a person puts on new clothes and discards old and torn clothes, similarly an embodied soul enters new material bodies, leaving the old bodies” Hindu practices generally involve seeking awareness of God and sometimes also seeking blessings from Gods and Goddesses. Therefore, Hinduism has developed numerous practices meant to help one think of divinity in the midst of everyday life. Hindus can engage in pūjā (worship), either at home or at a temple. At home, Hindus often create a shrine with icons dedicated to their chosen form(s) of God. Temples are usually dedicated to a primary deity along with associated subordinate deities. Visiting temples is not obligatory and many visit temples only during religious festivals. Hindus perform their worship through icons. The icon serves as a tangible link between the worshiper and God.

Religion like Islam where Pilgrimage is compulsory such is not a case in Hinduism, though many Hindus undertake them. There are many recognized as holy cities in Hinduism such as Haridwar,Varanasi, kashi and Allahabad etc. The kumbh mela is one of the holiest of Hindu pilgrimages that is held every four years. Hinduism has many festivals throughout the year such as Holi , Dussera ,Krishna Janmastami and Dewali etc.

What I was mentioning so far were the characteristics and attributes of Hinduism with its definition but the question is why the religion which is considered as the oldest religion of world degraded or lost many of its followers during various gray periods of it? What I believe that one of the reasons that is responsible for the down fall of the Hinduism is the introduction of caste system which divided the Hindu society into 4 sections Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, and Shudra or the priests, warriors, business people and laborers. A lower section of Shudra (laborers) known as the untouchables where at the lowest position in the society looked down by the other section and considered as born laborers or slaves. Due to this many Hindus from these lower casts were easily attracted towards the other religions and converted. Hindu religious literature, such as the Rig Veda, suggests that the original caste system was based on a flexible belief, where people joined a caste and a related occupation based on their skills, qualities, and nature. Caste was not a barrier to the lower caste people, who rose to the level of the upper castes through their talents. This was the reason why Kshatriyas(warrior) like the Buddha and Vishwamitra became Brahmins or men of spiritual nature and why a Brahmin (priest)like Parashurama became a Kshatriya. However, over time, the caste system transformed into a rigid caste system, preventing the ‘lower’ classes from rising.

Whatever may be the reasons but this faith has seen many good and bad times and it’s still one of the leading religion and belief system followed all over the world by millions of its followers.

Today I was watching a TV reality show with my friend. In that show they were showing a man who was claiming to cure life threatening diseases through black magic. The host of the show brought that crook to light and proofed that it was just a trick, while watching that show my friend and me started to talk on it. He said that he does not believe that there is anything like black magic which exists in this world. I partially agreed with him on this that many of these people who claim to perform black magic are just making fool of common people but I told him that this black magic do exist in the world.

If you believe in God than you will have to believe in Evil also . If there is good in the world than there must be bad also .Definition of good can only be understood if u experience the bad .Whatever your religion may be the Satin or Devil is mentioned in all the books of religions. If you say that I believe in the God and his words than God himself in various of his revelation in different holy scriptures do reveals about devil (Satin) .So if you are a man of faith you will have to believe that satin do exist and he have some powers also. Where there is positive energy there exists the negative energy both of these phenomenons coexist in this world.

The power of this satin and the study of his power opens the door of world of black magic. Over many centuries people are studying and practicing this black magic either for quick benefit or to gain powers. Many black practitioners did came in open In public and claimed to hold this mistrial powers but most of them did not came in light. The main reasons could be whenever somebody came in open and admitted to perform the black magic either they were executed or prisoned for life. There are other reasons also like the means to attain this powers most times lead to very unethical or inhumanly ways for example sacrificing new born babes .But many historical documents and proofs shows that this art was being performed over the centuries all around the world in places like subcontinent ,Middle East ,South America and Europe. Many black magic practitioner famously knows as Tantrik babas or witches are performing this art now openly in various countries. In country like India where half of population is living under poverty this art is very popular among the masses. But I must add to it that many from the higher level of the society are also involved in this art. These babas many of whom I must say are false babas and hold no powers or knowledge about the black magic and are fooling the common people mostly illiterate people who have lost faith in simple and true ways of life to fulfill their life objectives or desires. These common people are easy prey to these mal practices of black magic and are willing to perform any task or sacrifice anything as they have little to lose. I am referring to this as art again and again because you just cannot be a master in this gray world of black magic overnight but you need to regularly practice it to have mastery in it. People who are attracted towards the black magic are those who have lost faith in the Godly powers or who want to drive quick result or benefit from it even willing to hurt others in attaining their goals: That’s why many of the followers of this black power magic never come openly in the public : performing this art quietly without being noticed in general.

The bottom line is People who think that they can achieve their goals or dreams through this gray world of black magic must know this simple common sense that short cuts to fame or success is never been the best way or path to achieve it .In long run this type of fulfillment of desire and lust is never long lasting or beneficiary and most lead to devastating results or outcome.

In India they say that every mile you cross there is a different culture. India is a huge country with vast number of languages, cultures and religions. In fact there is a no other country which has so much diversity in the world. If you travel from the north of India down to the south of the country you will see so much diversity in cultures and tradition that you will be amazed.

If we study the history of this mystical and great nation you will see that many explorers, discoverers and kings from various empires from all across the world came to this land. They came on different missions some came to conquer the land, some just to loot the country of its riches and some purely on their adventurous missions. But many of them were deeply amazed and impressed with the mystical beauty of this great land and never went back. They mixed with the natives so many new cultures came to existence. India have always accepted different new waves of changes that came from the different part of the world from the beginning but some critics do say with reasonable arguments and facts that this had negative impact also as due to these acceptance to the outside changes many cultures of this country lost its core originality.

Many new traditions which were greatly influenced from the other civilizations also came into existence. But this has also given mystical and magical touch to this nation which has its own wonderful charm and aroma. Many races from outside did came to this nation with different agendas but still many stayed back and made this land their home and they mixed with the natives like sugar mixes with the water. We can see the impact of this beautiful mixture even in the beautiful work of art across this big nation; Tajmahal is the prime example of it which still amazes art lovers across the globe.

Today the national language of this country is Hindi but every region of this nation has its own language which common people use for their daily being and take proud in it. People in north have totally different way of living than people living in central or southern India for Example a Punjabi from northern part of India is totally opposite to a Nayar living in the south or Thakrey from central India. This difference has created problems in various issues in the past and still does in the present but the beautiful thing and amazing thing is that still people across the nation take great pride being Indian as a nation. This diversity has not killed the sense of togetherness the people have. I strongly believe that this diversity has only increased the beauty of this wonderful land and have even brought the people together as the feeling of curiosity and interest people have in each other cultures and tradition have brought them together and feeling of respect for each other belief and way of living has also been developed. Today we see the fruit of this character of the nation as India in recent time is fast becoming centre of many financial and economical players of the world. Many outside ventures and visionaries are coming to India for their projects and plans as they see the potential of this country for providing them best services with its inbuilt acceptances for the outside changes and ideas. This nation has many things to offer to the outside world which I believe is from the deep rooted strong cultural background it has build over many many centuries.

Muhammad the last prophet according to Islam, they say about him that he was neither very tall nor he was a short man. Looking into the life of this mighty messenger life through the neutral prospective of non Muslim gives a very interesting picture of him. One of the most influencing man in the history of manhood who brought the religion which has over 1 billion followers today. He was born as a orphan in Mecca a center place in Saudi .They saw there was never a man like him before and after him. When u go back in the history and read about various religion, We see many GOD’s men but this Messenger of god was not only a spiritual leader but also a warrior a commander of army. Studying his life shows that during his younger days he was a normal hardworking guy, at the age of 25 he married a rich widow a business woman after which his life changed. He was a good business man but in heart he was not happy with the social and religious life at that time in Mecca. At the age of 40 he received his first prophecy and suddenly just like that Islam came in to the world and today we all know it’s the fastest growing religion in world, like Moses and Jesus (other famous name in the world of religion)he has to leave his place of birth and live as emigrant in other cities. During his struggle to proof that what he considered were actually the word of GOD Almighty he has to go many different type of battles some were spiritual some were physical. As a spiritual guide or messenger he had to lot of resistance from various level of society even from his own people and family in beginning but as commander of army also he has to undergo many wars and battles for the religion which he said means peace (Islam religion of peace). Many critics says that he spread Islam through his sword but according to many scholars and historians he only took the weapons in hand or asked the followers when it was almost needed. Even during battles he set many rules like not killing a kid or women never heard at that time in Arabia, as that world use to be brutal at time. On social front also he can be seen as social reformist as he is gave lot of importance to upliftment of women in Saudi whose status at that time was at very low point as women was taken as thing of pleasure. Some historians say there were some barbaric acts also that he did during his life time like killing of Jews who betrayed him in war but reading about it shows that it was the need of the hour many other events are in question but whatever the reasons were there is no question that he influenced people more than any other personality in the history. His duties since he was not only a spiritual guide, a commander and head of state were very vast more than Jesus or Moses .In fact when I see his life I see his life more closely similar to life of Ram and Krishna the holly men of Hinduism as they were also head of the state and holly men. What I think Some of the decision he took were not easy to make but he has to take them as he had many multiple responsibilities . Muhammad took on many challenges all throughout his life but stood victorious in the end.

The Television has reached every house hold today. Its influencing the life of people as never seen before but watching Indian dramas specially under the production of Ekkta kapoor ( Balaji production) so called typical sass bahu dramas are a big letdown ,I wonder which Indian society or culture she is trying to showcase through her daily soaps. The story lines on which these dramas are based are pure imagination of mindless thinking as it makes you feel is this real Indian society she is trying to show case through her dramas .I was watching a popular prime time daily drama of her which use to be telecasted on a popular channel .My mom was a big fan of that drama as she was hooked to it not missing a single episode of it. She told me that the lead female of this famous drama was married 3 times and had 3 very filmy divorces .Now when you have such a powerful medium like electronic media at your disposal why you need to waste it on such baseless soaps or drama s which can be only taken as imagination of foolish minds. I agree there is a commercial side to it and you need to satisfy your commercial needs but when you are in a position of authority you have responsibility towards the society regardless of which field you belong too. But sadly today the money side of media has taken over the ethical basic pillars of media on which it was based for the uplifment of society and present the true face of injustice prevailing in society. There was the time when resources were not there and information technology was at its first baby steps but there were many programs on Tv specially doordarshan which were not only entertaining but had social message also. Now days there is lot of money involved in Tv production and media but the content quality of its have sadly degraded to a very depressing and low level. People like ekkta kappor need to do some soul searching about what type of work they are presenting. But I strongly believe this is just a phase and audience will eventually get bored of this kind of rubbish and mindless crap as weak things to do not have long lasting impact. The change will come and that change has already started to take place as some of her dramas are losing it popularity even in the masses in which she has strong hold. Tv rating of these dramas are going down rapidly and soaps like balika vadhu (based on the life of a child bride) shown on color channel are topping the popularity charts.People want to see quality stuff so it’s the responsibility of this production houses to produce quality content which will also benefit them in commercial aspect also.

The 28th of September will be remembered as the historical day of Indian cricket.Readers will be be surprised with this statement as of late India is not playing great cricket in ICC championship but we have managed to make this very day 28September as a historical day,now before readers start to scratch their heads let me clear things up.First of all the result of India and Australian match was a lame draw as match got abandoned due to rain and both the teams got a point each for it .Now the situation of the point tally is India is at 3rd position in its group with 1 point.Pakistan is leading the chart with 4 points and Australia has 3 points standing at second position. The interesting part is that Australia and Pakistan will play each other on 30th and if Pakistan wins the match Australia will end up with 3 points in point tally but if Australia wins India will be out of the championship. So for India’s own interest the best result is Pakistan wins against Australian and India beats Westindies with this result India and Australia will end up with 3 point each hence team with better run rate will qualify for the semifinal spot. For the first time in the history of Indian cricket not only the Indian cricket team but all the cricket fans in India will be praying for Pakistan victory,I wonder how ironical is this new development as we all know the current stressed relation of India and Pakistan on recent political issues.Certainly being an Indian cricket team fan I will be praying for Pakistan victory over Australia so that India can by any chance sneak through to the semis,This kind of strange development was never seen before in Indian cricket or sports were Indian captain will be banking on Pakistan to make it to the next round of competition .

On 26 india took on pakistan in a cricket match held in SouthAfrica for ICC cup.Pakistan won the toss and batted first.while watching India bowl I saw that Indian fast bowlers where bowling at very medium pace and Pakistani batsmen were just thrashing and hitting indian bowlers all around the ground. They got the huge score and than indian batsmen came to bat to get that huge target of over 300.Pakistani started bowling and they bowled at very fast speed suddenly this thought came in mind that why India being such huge country never produce fast bowlers and Pakistan being a neighboring country produce so many fast bowlers. That made me think suddenly I thought is that more than cricket? are there reason beyond cricket.Thinking about it I realized that india as a nation is huge country but generally Indians are very calm by nature and not very aggressive by instinct specially when u move down towards the south of the country.Indians always been very acceptable to ideas from out side and not aggressive by instinct.specially South Indians most of us are very laid back and calm. But when u move up the north of the indian subcontinent starting from Haryana up to pakistan people are very aggresive and bold by nature and the reflection can be seen on sports also as the personality of a sporstman reflects on his game. Now in most of the sports like boxing, wrestling or even fast bowling department north has always produce better sports men.Changing this basic fact which is in our gene is not an easy task if not impossible. The basic nature of a human being is not easy thing to change.Well now before I stop for the day I want to remind readers that India lost that match(me being an Indian).
